Have a 91 3.1 in my 47 Chevy, removed the fuel injection, has a 84 2.8 Blazer carb, intake and distributor, the distributor has two wires pink and looks brown, where to they go, coil from the 91 has 4 leads, should I get a coil for an 84?

You can use a 91 coil. The leads are a lie. They splice together inside the coil so really there is only 2 wires. Find the factory connector and give the pink wire 12V and the other typically white wire goes to the module/trigger.

When you say the module trigger, that means it goes to the distriburetor, right, have done that but not getting any spark? Might try another coil, thanks for that info, used a volt meter and seen all 3 wires have 12 volts and was wondering why! This distributor has 2 wires, a light color and a dark color, do you know which is the one I should hook up the coil to?

For GM HEI, pink is always key or ign. power. On the coil, there should be two connectors. One connector is for the distributor, the other connector is for the engine harness. Pink of the engine harness should 12v with the key in run or start. White is trigger or tach. So, in your case you would connect the pink from dist. to the pink from the coil to power up the dist., the other wire from the dist. is connected to the white wire of the same connector you used for power. The other connector of the coil should have your ign. power connected to the pink wire. If you had used the four wire coil connector setup that last white wire would be used for your tachometer. With the key on and the engine off you will see power on all the wires, when cranking the white wire should flash as the module toggles the coil to ground to create a spark.

Thanks, 86FieroSEv6 Wired like you said, I didn't put all the pinks together, after I did, a shot of gas, turned the key and it ran, Your the MAN. Thanks again. Will have to look for another carb I think, cain't get it to run under a really fast idle. Are these Blazer carbs are hard to find!

They are not too hard to find if your local yard has older vehicles. Some parts chains may sell reman units that are ready to run. But if you are familiar with carbs especially Rochester's then rebuilding one will be a familiar task.
