  • please help need great knowledge! stalls wont idle

Ok first thanks for checking out my thread any help or ideas will be awsome.

I have a 2003 grand am gt1 170,000 miles very clean. Ok my wife over heated the car, she parked it bout a mile from home. The next day i threw some water it in started right up and quickly drove it home. The damage was already done.

Both heads where warped, had them machined and dipped, also had LIM dipped. Install went fine besides cracking a UIM torqueing to 18ft lbs. Well i replaced it and was exicted to start it. Well it wont start, it will crank and chug a second then stop. If i press on the gas and give it 8% throttle it will run at 900rpm. It will rev and hit the limit, it will run till i release the gas pedal then stall.
Ok heres a list of what i check-
Fuel pressure is 60psi and drops bout 7psi after two seconds
Iac changed old one fell apart when removed.
    Swapped maf sensor
Vaccum when i hold throttle at 900rpm 20psi
    New plugs
    New plug wires
Of course all new upper gaskets and seals and o rings
Sprayed carb cleaner around intakes to check for leaks
And no security light flashing so not passlock problem
    No check engine lights
Cranked motor for 15seconds no ses light
Ac compressor is not turning on(was told when it over heated that it could of blew the check valve on compressor)
    UPDATE CHECKS
*i did pull the fpr vaccum hose hose and turned on pump no fuel, also put a vaccum gun and it held 20psi for five minutes.
Ok one thing i am curouis about, is there any ground wires that attached to the engine from the heads up. Because i didnt see any or hooked any up. Where are the grounding wires?

If anyone has any info i will follow up and check them out and update. This is our only car and my wife has a job interview and i really posting this as a last resort. Hopeing someone somewhere had the same issue. So please anything u can think of. Thank you

So have you tried hooking up a vacuum tester to the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it's not leaking fuel out of the diaphragm and making the engine too rich to idle?

Is the upper intake identical to the old one? It sounds like the IAC passage isn't going through the intake manifold.

Did you try disconnecting the battery, then hook it back up and cycle the key from off to on at least three times, pausing for a few seconds on each cycle to re-zero the IAC? Is the PCV valve in good shape and breathing properly?

If you ain't rock and roll, you must be driving a Honda
