  • Which has more fuel volumn..

My car is a 1997 Monte 3.1 I acquired the injectors from a 1999 pontiac gran am... Do the 1999 3.4 injectors
have more fuel volumn than my 1997 3.1 injectors? Any do's or don'ts with swapping these injectors?....

Yes. Flow rate. Which delivers more fuel at the same throttle position. If there is an advantage to using 3.4 injectors, what other hardware from the 3.4 engine would i need...........Tom

        3100 SFI 94-99 Aluminum Head VIN ? L82 Multec 1 19# 43.5 PSI
        3400 SFI 96-99 Aluminum Head VIN ? LA1 Multec 1 19# 43.5 PSI

Same injectors. Besides, the only way larger injectors would gain you anything is if you were maxing out your old ones with added go fast goodies. You should also refer to your engine as a 3100 since it's a gen 3 and the 3.1 is what the gen 2 is called. It makes it easier for people to know what engine you have as far as parts compatibility and what you can do to it.

You can probably use the newer 3x00 injectors (multec 2) for a better spray pattern. With your existing regulator they'll be ~#20 which is 5% richer than your #19's. The PCM might be able to compensate for that although tuning is always ideal.
