They are very different..... for starters the N-body does not use bushings in the subframe. The steering rack is going to be different along with control arms and sway bar.Originally posted by bob442 View PostBAM!

EDIT: just noticed the control arm is shorter. mounting points wise. i would still bet its the same after that.

i think it maybe worth it. if i owned a n body i would find out for sure, dont they use the same steering rack? and you dont have to use the rubber mounts.Comment

Steering rack and sway bar differ from the N-body to the W-body.
Even if it did work and you saved 30 lbs, you have spent several hundred dollars which could have gone elsewhere that would have given more of a gain.
If you are serious about weight reduction, ditch the spare, remove the A/C components, carpet, rear and passanger seats, go on a diet, ect.
If it was a W-body that had the steel subframe and I had the car torn down, then that might be a different story.2000 Grand Am GT
