  • 3.4 Pullies

I have purchased a GM 3.4 Crate Engine for a car project. Can anyone provide the part numbers for the (single groove "V" belt ) crankshaft and water pump pullies? I will not be using a fan in my application. I am thinking these would be the same as the 2.8 engine.

On a side note is there really any advantage to underdrive pullies. Thanks new guy here!

You will never find them that way. Parts stores don't ever sell pulleys other than idlers and tensioners or common stuff like small block Chevy or something. You will need to go to the junkyard and find an old S-10 to pick parts off of.

My Suggestion would be to find a serpentine setup and get the pulleys from them. You can run a Camaro water pump which has a flat face pulley, an Isuzu Rodeo 3.1L belt tensioner and an alternator and thats it if you want. If you don't need a power steering pump you can just put a small idler pulley in its place. Or you could add in a power steering pump if you want and simply change the belt length
