  • 2.8 serpentine question

I recently picked up a 1985 blazer with the carb'd 2.8 V6. Is there a 2.8 that came with a serpentine belt system? I know i can swap in the 3.4 bottom end but everything i have read always says to use the 2.8 accessories, especially because of the water pump flow direction. I'd really like to use a serp belt set up on this thing. Any advice would be very helpful.

Yup you can just grab the front end parts off of a 88 or later truck. There is one bracket for the ALT, Power Steering, A/C and AIR. You can delete the AIR if you want by using an Isuzu Rodeo tensioner and belt. And of course if you dont have AC then just leave that out. Also remember to get all the bolts and pencil braces for the system.
