  • TB to MAF Breather tube problem

My LX9 engine swapped into a LA1 based Silhouette project is almost done.

I have a problem. I used a 3/4" wide adapter place between the 3500 UIM and an Intrigue TB. This reduced the space between the TC and MAF to the point that I cannot get the inlet air breather tube to fit.

I am looking for ideas of what to use or modify to get a sealed tube between the TB and MAF.

    See attached Pics.

I have approx. 4" of space and the MAF is at an angle between 30 and 40 degrees over and down from the TB.

    Thanks.

I ran into the same problem, but I don't have a MAF. It's because of the TB AND the 3500 plenum neck sticks out farther. I got a tube from an S10 vortec motor or something like that and made it fit. It was shorter and worked great. basically go to the junk yard and find something that looks the same but is shorter...

Before that I just cut down the stock rubber tube some. or you could go with silicone coupler. www.siliconeintakes.com has good prices.
