What do you plan on doing with the 2.5? I've been looking for a 2.5 distributor but can't find one within a reasonable distance.

where to start, no it has the non-electronic carb, so as far as I know I just need to make sure I have wiring for the dist and coil. I know about the motor mounts, thanks I had not thought about the springs that should be an easy replacment. as for the transmission I am staying with the 5 speed, I read in the manual that the 2.5 and the 2.8 have the same bolt pattern for the bell housing. so as far as I can tell I can unbolt the bell housing from the tranny in the blazer and bolt it directly to the tranny in the pickup taking the clutch assembly with it witch in my case works out since I just replaced the clutch in the blazer. my other question is I have an inline electric fuel pump on my blazer and a fuel pump delete block so can I use the same pump inline on the pickup without having to pull the pump out of the tank on the pickup, (since it is fuel injected ) I think I can? I would really like to talk to someone who has done this switch.

The only difference between the 2 engines is that the starter is on the driver's side on the 2.5, which may affect what you're doing unless you keep the 2.8's existing bellhousing (if you can match the trans to the bell). You can keep your inline fuel pump, just make sure it's rated for the fuel injection pressures and flow rate (the carb most likely has a mechanical fuel pump mounted on the engine, so the in-tank crap doesn't matter). Basically, what you have will work the way you need it to, you just have to check on a couple of things.
