  • LX9, UIM ? and Exhaust Mani ?

I have not picked up a 3500 yet, but still researching what all I can/can't do etc.

Looking at pics I have found, I am worried I will not be able to do one thing I had wanted, (certain turbo set up in my mind)

Would it be possible to flip the UIM 180deg? (with ot without PS )

Also, trying to find pics up the Manifolds and any crossover pipes that some had used/come up with?

yes you can flip the UIM the other way if you lose the P/S pump. And i have 2 front manifolds on my engine, i'll see if i can find pics.

Thanx for the pics, I had an 06 SV6 in the shop today so I had a chance to have a look, however, on the SV6 the Exhaust manifolds look like the old 3400 with cross over.

Not sure if they are updated or just the same old manifolds.

The Malibu exhaust, from the pics, I can't tell how its setup, crossover the trans?
They also look like they may not fit in my application.
I might be best to use 2 front 3400 manis and crossover till I get some headers made.

Also took a look at UIM and PS, was hoping I could remote mount the PS reservoir and flip UIM 180 deg. but I don't think it will quite fit.

May have to mount PS at AC Comp location and do without AC. Really wasn't my plan though lol.

malibu manifolds(the style i'm using) the front goes under the car and meets up withthe rear downpipe. Mine's setup with a U-bend(2.25" @ flange stepped down to 2") to go back up over the tranny. Then it Y's into the rear downpipe and goes into the exhaust. i have a 3-bolt flange connecting the front and rear downpipes just off the corner of the rear head.
