I hear ya there, but if going turbo, the restriction should not be as much of a factor? or am I way off there?

i thought i read that somewhere before... wasn't sure if it applied to the regular 3500 or just the VVT flavor

Ya, sorry, I realize I cant use the stock 3500, however, though the 3500 and TCE TB are same size (65mm) would the design of TB not (plate etc) effect CFM?
not all 65mm TBs would have same CFM?

unless there is a very significant difference in the design of the plate and shaft and entry/exit, they will, more or less, flow identically.

Ahhh, I was reading the opposite, but then again I read it on a site that designs and SELLS Throttlebodys, so I guess I should have taken that into consideration lol,
(think it was accufab or something to that effect)
So if going Turbo, the exhaust would not greatly effect the 440CFM of the TCE 65mm TB then?

You would have to flow each throttle body to get an exact measurement. I don't find that information to be the least bit useful, unlike flowing a head with the manifolds and TB on there.

I am lost on your exhaust to tb size reference.

but i think you have it right now.

EDIT: may need to tweak induction flow a bit more to get the stock numbers...

I was refeering to what Robert posted,
The restriction of the downpipe etc would lower the Airflow for use in DD,
I am asking if that would still stand true if using a Turbo?

depends on how well the exhaust before and after the turbo is made. no horrible 90* bends and being properly sized, it can allow the motor to breathe as much as it possibly can.

it ain't gotta be pretty to be strong. my monster strut tower braces are proof of that. although in that situation, i can cover them with body filler and no one will be the wiser.
