  • How can I identify a 00+ 3400 fpr? and o-rings

How can I tell the difference between 97-99 and the 00+ 3400 fpr's? And where can I find the o-rings for it? The dealer says I have to buy the fpr to get the o-rings.

no you dont. they sell the o-rings separate. its like 20 bucks for the 2 of them

heres the part number for it
    GM PART # 17113034
it comes with the o-ring for the back side fuel rail and the front one.

yeah its kind of insane. the one you really need for the backside fuel rail is the one that 99% of the time gets chewed up by the threads.

i tried getting some from the junkyard before but its alot of work to get to the fuel rail and sometime your not so lucky getting them out.

FelPro doesn't make them? I'm assuming they are different than injector orings... Got to be an alternative... Has anyone measured them and just used a fuel compatible one out of an assortment?

nope fel-pro doesnt make them trust me ive tried numerous times to get one and spent alot of time with the help of the guy at napa finding one.

he pulled out the box of o-rings they have a we found one that matched. try going to napa and if you can find a good one like i did where the people are smart then you will find an o-ring.

iirc the one i got from napa was a $1 or $2 at the most. it held up and didnt get eaten by gas.

If you know what the AN size of the one you need to replace is ...these might be an alternative source to get some Nitrile Fuel Proof O-Rings ...without needing a second mortgage to pay for them:

i had a spare fuel rail and the piece that screws in when i was at napa that time. its way easier to match it on site than guess sizes.

last time when i went back though they ran out of the size i needed but i didnt end having to take the fuel rail apart.

i dont know why Gm charges so much for them when you can get something comparable at a parts store.

at least on the side that doesnt have the regulator you have to slide it in gently pretty much like its your first time, you cant just throw in it.

                  Whats this kit?

That's a 95 Beretta Fuel rail O-ring kit... Only shows two but I know the two that are even on the Beretta don't differ in size by that much.

yeah thats the kit and that exactly what you get from GM with the part number i posted. still the same price. but they usually have the box of o-rings behind the counter. i just sat there and went through it with the guy and matched one up. it sure as hell didnt cost $20 bucks.

that one you posted from Napa Jon they would still have to order it. the GM one if your lucky the dealer might have it in stock. at least they did when i bought the one i did years ago.

its more so the smaller one thats important.

multiple o-ring kits a few say for hydraulic use. the red ones look like the ones i got from napa before. the ones made out of this Nitrile (Buna-N) they say are good for fuels and oils so.
