      Moved.

None have the damper, so I won't run one.

They are fine for rpm's kept safe.

Most install them for show. You know how hard it is to make a stock crank pulley looking good?!

Who can even see the crank pulley anyway though? Covered up by plastic and at the bottom of the engine bay...

Some run them on stock engines without failures, might shorten the life of the chain, and/or crank. Modified engines we are staying away from them since a modified engine needs dampening and to last due to the added stresses of power/high compression/cam/etc

You'd be surprised how well you can see them.

apparently, the 3100 L cars have a LOT less room between the crank pulley and anything else compared to a W.... i can get my hand fully spread down there with no trouble.

maybe on a beretta but not on the 5th gen N-body. nice little splash shield covering that area up.
not the best pic but its all i have. just picture a plastic shield from the strut forward.

same area with the tire on. just how much of the pulley do you actually see. car was still a little jacked up at that time but now it sits 2" lower.

actually i like the splash shield there, keeps the crap off the belt. i finally got around to putting it back in a few months back.

Personal preference, when I work on my car or at a show, it's seen. Just like valve covers, I like them a certain way.

Mine has a splash guard as well, can't see the crank pulley unless you are over the engine bay with a flash light...

You must have A/C and my splash guard has vents in it. I can see the bright aluminum finish.

this is just like the billet aluminum front transmission mount i have. you cant see the damn thing unless your really looking and move the engine harness

meh my ac compressor is sitting on the garage floor. bottom bolt doesnt line up and it was vibrating against the oil pan. sounded like i had a low end knock.

I took mine off and noticed 0 change in power, even ran the same track times.

wait till the ones with a dampener come out... then it might be worth it.
