I was gonna ask what that engine was too, I'm not familiar with the new V6's GM has put out. But anyways, I still have 2 sets of the Aluminum covers so thanks for the input guys, I won't chance it. And no the covers were from an old small port 3100.1998 Chevy M VIN Mali LS with 99 Olds J VIN 3100 Swap

If you want them to look nice, some aluminum covers were smooth cast, and easy to polish up, or lightly sand smooth and then paint. Mine I just painted and it looks like I polished it first but that's how it was from the factory.sigpic
