  • New Member Fuel O-Ring Problem

    Hi,
Brand new to the site today. Looks awesome!
Just finished a LIM job on my 2003 Buick 3.1 Turned the key and had a fuel leak. Off with the plenum. Found the inlet fuel line at the rail was blowing out gas. Dis-connected and found no o-ring. I did undo the lines when removing the rails. I didn't see anything in the rail. (I may be wrong on that.)
Put on a small injector o-ring, re-connected and no more leaks.
Should I be looking for the "right" o-ring and if so, where do I find one?
BTW, I hate connecting the small hoses to the heater pipe! Thanks for the help to a 68 year old GM car guy!

I am pretty sure the rail o-rings are the same as the injector o-rings, so you should be good to go.

    Welcome to the site!

Went to CarQuest today and found a package of assorted Viaton o-rings under the
"HELP" brand. Will dis-connect and size 1 of those up with my "temp" injector o-ring.
      Thanks,
      John

        Buick O-Ring Saga Continues

Pulled my temp o-ring yesterday to replace with a new Viaton part
and there was nothing on the collar when the line pulled out.
Now, I'm not crazy as I didn't remember seeing 1 the 1st time.
I have the wiring for the rail dis-connected except for the
switch down below the power steering unit. (Oil pressure?)
I looked in the rail and on top of the transmission and can't see my missing 2 o-rings. What gives? Did these 2 rings disappear into thin air?
        Thanks,
        John

Did you look inside the rail or even under the car?

Ha! Spent some time this morning and found 1 way down below the transmission.
I suspect the 1st one is somewhere down there too. The fuel rail is clear.
Even took a Shop Vac to it. Now, get it back together and go back to my
'65 Chevelle! Will let you all know how it runs.
Thanks again for all the advice!
