incorrect bore clearances any info what that means?
i timed the crank to cams correctly and adjusted the valves the way chilton and autozone told me to adjust it. i adjusted the valves with the #1 tdc

What vehicle are we dealing with? IBC will cause blow by. Do you have air coming out of the oil fill/check tube?

this is a 1989 chevy s10 TBI. i dont think air is coming out the oil fil or check tube
this is exactly how my engine sounds. i bought new gaskets/headgaskets, camshaft, timing chain set, pistons, piston rings, dist cap and plug wires as well as spark plugs. im thinking its the valves because i used the same heads from my old engine that head a rod knock.
