  • Want pics of beretta PACE CAR

Not just the pics that are all over the internet. I am talking about pics that people here have perhaps taken of the car in person. Like if in a museum or what not.

More specifically I am looking for pics of the engine. the closer to the engien the better. I need some semi detailed photos of the intake.

If anyone has any pics that would be great. Thanks

    Shaun

Here's the right one! Go to EBay. Type in Beretta Pace Car in the seach bar and "PRESTO!" More pics are available. It is a replica now that I look closer. It's for sale though.

Not even close to what he's looking for...

Hmm.. couldn't find it on BNet either... someone posted a good pic of it on here a few months back. I'll see if I can't find that one.

Here is the link I posted a while back in the 'Headers' thread. They are high-res (56K BEWARE!) scans of the Hot Rod magazine articale on the engine. These are the best pictures I have come across so far.

Edit: Page 2 has some overall engine pics, Page 4 has the best shot of the intake manifold runners.

Look at the front header... looks like they got smooshed!! Such a nice engine...

Page 2 has a nice error in it though. It states that the Indy Pace Car is a debut of the new Beretta convertible. I thought they had struck down the idea of producing the convertible prior to the pace car. Or maybe I am in error...

yea I had posted a pic of it chopped from teh link above. Here it is again. Basically I want more pics of the intake like this if one has them. But I only see that happening if the hood was open and someone snapped some off. Be it a museum or back when the car was actually at indy. Long shot yea I know but who knows.

Ok I dont' think it will let me attach. man talk about a small pic in order to post it. jeez. 640x480. whatever.

Obviously you didn't look at page 4 from Marty's post. It shows the lower intake all by itself, whereas any pics taken of the car itself won't show much of the lower intake considering it will be covered by the upper intake....

I think the front header tube was dimpled to clear the radiator fans. Brad is right. Any underhood pictures aren't going to chow the lower intake, unless they have the engine torn apart.

Actually I have looked at page 4. I have all the pics on my computer actually. I chopped and zoomed in on it actually and made a post a while back of the lower all by itself. Its just in black and white so I can't really see what was done to it.

Hey if they guy has pics and i stil can't see what I want to see then so be it. But it would be nice to have them posted. Who knows I still might be able to see something.

I just am trying to figure out just how they modified the runners on the lower intake. Just how it was cut and welded is all.

You are trying to see how they modified the runners... and you expect to see that on an installed engine?!? I don't care if he was specifically taking a picture under the plenum, there is no way you'd be able to tell with the engine assembled. The picture of the lower manifold by itself is going to be the best look unless you physically had the item in your hands.
