3x reference signal would have to do with the 7x crank sensor you mentioned you already replaced. I would look for possible nicks/cuts in the wire going from the crank sensor to the ICM.-Brad-

(7x) or (3x) is the one in the block. Are the twisted wires damaged coming off of it?
24x would be the one behind the crank pulley.
