I just agreed to buy the rsm supercharger and kit from black00gt1. Does anyone have any tips, shortcuts, anything as far as the install and tune, the kit includes on tuned ecm, i have a dhp tuner and i'm going to try and tune it that way, thats why i'm asking, all help appreciated.

Has he upgraded the pin and possibly bearings? If its the kit as it came from RSM, look at spending another $500+ in order to make it last a decent amount of time.

According to the thread, it has been upgraded.

If the preprogrammed chip matches your car and mods, I say throw it in there and monitor it with your tuner and adjust as needed. Go REAL easy on it at first when trying to tune. Search around the Powrtuner forums for tips on tuning a boost setup that wasn't a boost setup to start with.

I wish that could fit on my motor but the wbody motor mounts bolt where the supercharger bolts to the motor.

He has a MAF on there, which RSM removes and then for the "tune" they delete the check engine light for the missing MAF....

So since he has a MAF I would guess he tuned it himself. Regardless since you have a DHP I would check out what is on there and verify that all the fuel is good there when it goes into boost in the higher MAF tables.

Get a wideband O2 sensor if it doesn't come with one, and you can tune with that for WOT and get the fueling dead on.

Once you have it tuned and running, the next step for more power would be to plumb in an intercooler. It will make more power then. 6psi of cooler air makes more power than 8psi of hotter air. Plus it helps reduce the chance for knock.

I'm been looking for a while to find one and actually i did think it would happen, i'm not really interested in more boost 5or 6 will make me happy at least for a while, its going on my d and d so i know i have to be careful and conservatative, thanks for all the input. i'm going to start with lots of fuel and low advance and try and tune fron there.
