I'm going to wrap my downpipes to cut down the heat soak to my starter and melting of... things. Are any brands or styles better than others. I'll have to order it, don't think anyone in town carries it.

The napa stuff is pretty good. Bought it for a friend over a yr ago for a turbo engine and is still holding up goodsigpic

word od warning - don't get it too close to the ground. if it gets wet it can hold water and will rot out your pipes quick. i was gonna wrap my downpipe but that's what stopped me, i don't need it rotting out in a year.

That seems like it would only be true if it got wet when cold. When hot and water that hits it boils off.
But in any case it is good to be cautious I guess. I have had it on my S-10 for a few year now and it works great.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
