    Guess I was looking at it more like a power thing, not a easy swap.so you say the isuzu blocks are different? WOW,so this is still a chevy design,right?I am guessing so ,since you are talking abou tcams and rockers and all.what kind of HP/TORQUE do you expect from this combo?

      Yes, it's a chevy engine through and through. But it's a FWD block, which means the motor mounts are slightly different than the 3.4L, but usable (only 2/3 of the Trooper mount bolts are used, but it's enough). Starter is on the wrong side, but the block has the bosses cast, so they just need drilled and tapped. If you don't want to screw that up, you can get a jig from a Fiero swapper store (which is what I did).

      Other than those two things, everything is bolt-on interchangeable.

      The crate engine or the 93-95 camaro engine are the ONLY 3.4L engines with iron heads in any config, so you can't just get a FWD engine and save some work.
