Ok to start off.. scan car and 2 codes come up.. one for the front manifold o2 sensor and one for the after cat o2 sensor... so i replace the one on the manifold and scan car again after deleting the SES and the SES comes on again.. Scan it and both codes again.. SO scratching my head on putting in a new o2 and still both coming up.. I would expect the manifold one to go away at least.. So when starting the car black smoke comes out the exhaust and seems to be running rich.. Maybe from the o2 over adjusting itself? the car was getting 30+ mpg until 2,000 miles ago and now down to 22+/-... Im tired of seeing that SES and want the car to run perfect.. I also have a what you would call a powerband?? At 3,000RPM the engine runs faster than under 3,000RPM you can it hear go from a bog to running better.. The FPR is giving the rail 40PSI and I dont know what it could be..
Today i decided to put a Air/Fuel guage on the car to see if it is really running rich.. I tapped into the pink wire on the front o2 and power up the guage nothing shows.. I unhook the data feed wire for the guage and the guage powers up and holds a green rich light... so i go to the book and find where the pink wire goes.. it also goes to the MAF.. SO i tap in there and still the same.. So now i test the guage to make sure it works.. i hold the feed wire and it reads from my body the guage lights up all over.. I ground it and the guage shuts off.. UUHH OOHH.. So maybe thats y when tapped into my pink wire its off.. So now im doing a OHM's test on the pink wire and i read 0.525 K OHMS off the pink wire.. I go to the book and its not showing that i get a ground to the pink wire.. I unhook Both O2's and test again and the same reading.. Could there be a bad wire on the engine harness and its grounding my O2 system which is causing the bad MPG's and SES light and for it to run rich?
