  • Oil filter relocation

    Last thing I found in the search was from some time ago. Was hoping to find a bit better information.

    I'd like to do a filter relocation. Things I found in the search mentioned something about the 60* being able to use the kits for an LT1, but due to the last post mentioning sizing got me a bit confused.

    Is there any particular sizing with threads or o-rings or anything that I need to be concerned with?

    Any suggestions on a brand from anyone who's possibly done this, if anyone?

    You can use the generic stuff if it wont hit the engine mount. The thread size is 18mm.

    However I have found the best one out there is the Canton Racing Adaptor. It swivels 360* and is made from billet. I have one on my S-10 and Trooper http://members.shaw.ca/betterthanyou/remotefilter.htm

        Yea it works very well. Also their filter mount is very nice too. I used it on my Trooper but not on my S-10. But looking back I would shell out the cash for the mount If I do it again.
