  • Problems after LIM gasket fix

okay, i replaced the gaskets and got everything back in order...

it stars and idles fine but when driving it has no power.

like it is not getting enough gas....

i seafoamed the intake and have a terrible leak at the egr valve....

and also there is a vacuum thing under the coil pack...the small one, i have no idea where that goes...

are those two things enough to make it run weak?

everything else is in order, new plugs and wires...compression is good and there is proper pressure at the fuel rail....

The small vacuum thing under the coilpack almost sounds like your MAP sensor, which would definitely cause issues with drivability. The MAP sensor plugs into a vacuum port on the UIM in that general vicinity.

There is also the purge solenoid further down below the coilpack, more near the back side of the engine.

      alright

okay, the vacume thing under the coil pack is the one that turns....where does that go?

also, there is a single wire plug coming out of the intake under the throttle body... where does that go?

        i found it

okay, well i replaced the gaskets for the egr valve...it idles great now!

as far as the vacuum...i found where it goes into the firewall...the vacuum line itself was broken...

where does it go to from the firewall...

and is that the cause for the running bad?

The only vacuum lines that would go into the firewall would be for the HVAC system. Do your heater and AC controls work ok?

As far as a single wire plug, the only one I can think of off hand is the coolant temp sensor in the rear head. If that was unplugged, then your coolant temp gauge wouldn't work.

well, the single wire is coming out of the head...but my temp gauge works?

the ac and the heater work also...

im goina run by auto zone and see what codes it pulls...

would the line going into the firewall not being connected make it run bad?

              alright, autozone pulled the codes...

              maf sensor
              tps
              o2 sensor

but still doesnt tell me anything....

it seems to run fine on the interstate like from 3k to 4k....

i will also say that if i just start the car it has power for 30 seconds or so...

Well, first off, verify that your MAF, TPS and O2 are all plugged in. Any one of those could cause the engine to run crappy.
