anyone have a how to on chamferring valve springs...i have some manleys that i need to clearance on the bottom ID, i have the tool, just need to know what i might be looking at...i have heard of it done, but none of the machine shops around here have done it.

What kind of clearance are we talking?
You can grind springs only a slight bit. Just be sure to keep them cold so you don't ruin the steel.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

the spring didnt get close, they just came off for no reason...i was running the LS6 springs and the comp LS .060 seats with some 2.2l seals like it shows on the one thread, but it just didnt work out for me...and i dont like the idea of just using shims either...no ID locator

What year heads?

i used both 02 and 03 heads...you actually could use the stock seat on the LS spring i think, just use a vice and pop them in, but i went with the hardened steel seats from comp...i had 2 or 3 come off and a few were working their way off...in no particular order
