  • Gauge help

hey guys, now that i'm digging in and working on my 93 Cavalier (3.1L) again, I've got a desire to ditch the factory instrument cluster and get a set of Autometer gauges in it's place. But before I go and spend a bunch of money on the set, I would like to know if I need to be looking at mechanical or electric gauges and things like that. I was looking in Summitracing's catalog and it was listing fuel gauges as empty 0 ohms and full 90 ohms and there were two others like that but with different ohm ratings, what's that about? What would I need in that situation? Can you guys help me out here?

    Thanks,

    Brian

I'd go with electric, however I beleive you have a cable driven speedo (might be wrong though), and if that's the case you will need a mech-elec adapter.

As for the fuel gauge, the 0-90 one is the one you need.

Good to know. I have a 90 Cav (cable) and an 04, so wasn't sure what was in between 91-95
