  • coils on 3500 topend

    i seem to have a problem with my coils fitting my topend.. holes just dont line up, it will work how it is but it wont be right and i dont like that

    i cant rember any1 having problems with it.

    am i the only one?

    That's normal. That's how I have mine. Just the bottom bolts. No issues. You can use the 3500 bracket and drill new holes for the coils and ICM to screw into if you want to.

        I bolted a gen2 bracket to the top of the 3500 bracket and mounted then that way..
        Past Builds;
        1991 Z24, 3500/5 Spd. 275WHP/259WTQ 13.07@108 MPH
        1989 Camaro RS, ITB-3500/700R4. 263WHP/263WTQ 13.52@99.2 MPH

          I have a pre-drilled 3500 bracket that I may be willing to part with. I wont be able to use it anyway because I have 1.25" spacers raising the plenum way the hell up there.

            I just used the holes I could, and drilled for the other bolts to screw in. There is really no force on the coils, so if you can get them to hold on there halfway decent they will be fine.
