I am in the process of swapping a 3400 v6 into my fiero and I want to upgrade to the 3500 exhaust manifolds for two reasons. 1: They flow better then the 3400's. 2: They will allow for a better exhaust routing for my setup. My question is, I know the 3500 manifolds changed during production at one time and there are two styles of 3500 manifolds, which is best for flow? I am guessing the later style, but what years/models of cars should I look for. Also I think these parts can be purchased through GM parts direct, no?

i'd imagine the "header" style that came on the Malibu 3500's would be better flowing then the log style.
we've been planning on using a set of those on a 3400 Sunbird for a while now.. just need the flanges that bolt to the outlets.

I have a set of 04 Malibu 3500 manifolds if you want them. They are currently taking up space in my garage. I'm not sure if I have the heat shields though.
