  • Bolt length for 3500 upper

I have a 3500 upper with spacers right now and I need to know what length bolt I need to get to opt out the spacers... I need to have them trimmed down and I know I cant use the bolts that are there now. Issac? how long are the stock bolts?

        2.565" (65mm) long, M8 1.25 thread pitch

From my 3500 plenum swap checklist thread.

I've heard shorter (60mm?) worked too, and I think that's a common size in hardware stores.

Thanks, Eric on bstuff measured his for me too...

Damn spacers are too thick for a beretta with firm solid mounts... LOL maybe old and saggy bishes would be ok...

The threads are about 60mm, so I would imagine 60mm would be fine.

Dave, your stock or your allen ones? I'm running 65mm bolts.

I've had polished allen ones since my first hybrid build... I also got some of the longer ones for the spacers too.

I don't think allen head bolts would look good on my plenum. It would look cool yes, but take away from the chevy logos attention. I think flange bolts would look better than the plain ones I have on there now though. Painted black of course.

Why does it look like your throttle bracket is at perfect height... Mine seems like it was too low... I got it to fit but after bending it quite a bit to go above the PCV tube...

its almost like my TB adapter plate sits lower than yours where the bracket bolts to...

I'm pretty embarrassed about this install right now... It needs some work and I'll be getting to that before Bfest... I need a new 45* pipe for after the TB to put the nos nozzle in right and have a good bend there again... And I need to re route a few other things as well as get the plug for the new map so I can start using that.

My sticker makes it faster, its a corvette company... LOL

Holy shit! Yeah that's not right. I had to bend mine but it was just SLIGHT to get the bottom to bolt up. I mean it was so tiny of an adjustment I could of just used the bolts to pull it down.

My adapter was from when it was first offered/made. It's square, not fancy like the new ones. Yours does not seem right at all... I would get a different bracket or re-bend yours back and put some bolt spacers to raise the bracket up... The PCV hold down had to even be bent on yours!!!
