BLAH, i get 19 on my stock 3100 with 3.33 gearing right now... I'm going back to 3.06 to see if it raises it up. I was getting 19 before on my cammed hybrid too.

1meanz: what car/engine do you have?

I get around 22-23 in town with a tiny bit of highway but that's with me going WOT all the time hehehe.

Jon: Hehehe damn, well I guess that means you could throw in another hybrid in your DD and still get good mileage haha. I guess your cam isn't that radical (well the old one)

That old cam SUCKED!!! it just sounded good... LOL But yeah I think my mileage is directly related to my gearing. Can't wait to see how pinky responds to 3.42 gearing...

Yeah that's the only thing I like about the stock gearing is the good mileage. Now that my engine is modified a bit and I have more power the gearing doesn't suck so bad. 2nd gear isn't so dead when you get stuck in it anymore.

Can't wait to see how much better your new cam is.

I got 20.2mpg this last tank and that was with a light foot... No need to stomp it anymore because its a stock motor, it doesn't do anything. LOL

I just pulled ~22mpg on a basically stock 3400 (62mm TB), over 4k on the oil, over 20k on the plugs, letting it warm up 5-10 min every morning, and sitting in traffic to and from work. I drive ~18 miles each way and it usually takes me around 30-45 min each way. There are several other things wrong with it that I know are affecting mileage, but I just don't have the time to troubleshoot and fix them right now.

I get about 28 on the highway with both my 3100 engines- in a '94 Corsica and an '01 Lumina.

                              More like 22 around town.
