I'm running a 2.8 with a 3400 top end and turbo running off a TGP chip.

What injectors should i use? I can get the chip redone to accept whatever i choose but i dont know what to run.

The TGP runs 22lbs injectors but the 3400 also runs 22lbs, so i want to go more than 22 obviously.

I'm not planning on any more than 9 psi, what are you guys running and having sucess with on a similar set up?

also i heard the 3400 injectors even tho they are 22lbs they will run rich cause they are multec injectors and the ECM dosent work with them properly, so with turbo and these injectors would i be ok?

    thanks

The stock 22lb TGP injectors will be fine until you really know how to tune the car. The stock 22lb'ers have been in several cars with TGP setups that made right around 300hp @ the engine/crank. These cars still had the untouched 3.1 MPFI engines in them, so you could probably make a bit more than that with your better flowing top end + a good tune.

EDIT: What fuel pump will you be using?

Ok, that works out better if i can stick with the stock injectors, saves me playing with the chip at all. Where would I get 22lbs injectors tho?

I'm not sure about fuel pump yet, I was thinking of one from a newer car with the 3400, they have around 50-57psi or something compared to our stock 40-47psi, I was going to talk it over with my tuning guy.

If that pump wasnt enough I heard a pump from a GMC with the vortec motor puts out something stupid like 70 psi. It will also drop right in the tank with almost no modifications, just a little tab that had to be cut off or bent out of the way. I cant remember were i read that but I'm sure it cant be hard to figure out once i get the pump in my hands.

The cheapest injectors that would suit your needs will be Ford "yellow top" injectors. They're rated by Ford @ 19lbs, but they really flow right around 22lbs on our fuel pressure. I've sent a few sets off to WitchHunter Performance for cleaning & flow testing and they flowed 21.8lbs/hr @ 43.5psi. I have a set in my TGP since my factor injectors were leaking(very common issue). The majority of TGP owners still running a stock turbo replace their stock injectors with the Ford ones.

This is about the cheapest place to get a brand new set, or you could search ebay for "Ford 19lb injectors" and you'll come up a lot of reconditioning injectors for ~$130/set(usually in sets of 8, maybe they would be willing to sell you only 6 for cheaper).

EDIT: There are usually cheap AC Delco TGP fuel pumps listed on ebay. The part number is "EP375." I would email the people listing the auctions and confirm they were AC Delco pumps before buying as some people list them as AC Delco, but send other cheapo pumps in their place.

I always clean them and paint them black. Don't want anyone to see those Ford parts sticking out.
