If anyone is going to use a HV pump go ahead. But just be aware of the negative effects. The worse case will be your sump running dry because all the oil is sitting at the top of the engine instead of in the sump. Other consequences will be heated oil, wasted horsepower, excess air in the oil and severe windage at the crank and rods. I just don't think it is a good idea to use a HV pump in order to compensate for a poorly built engine or oiling system. I think money would be better spent on a 3/4" pickup modification if possible and a properly built stock pump which has been blueprinted to reduce internal slip. Doing this will ensure an adequate supply at all times with a slight increase over stock but nothing approaching the stupid range.
