  • 3500 alternator and ACC

I was wondering if anyone had some pics of a complete 3500 (2006 lx9) alternator and air conditioning compressor and the brackets that they use to mount up to the engine.

I think I have all the stuff for the anternator aside from the bolts it uses to mount up.

I'm guessing the ACC mounts right to the block and doesn't have any extra brackets like my old ACC had. I did notice in another post that the block doesn't have the 3rd hole for ACC mounting. I realize I'll probably have to do something with fitting adapters if I use a new style ACC, but I'll cope with that later. I'm assuming these ACC's are simple on/off 2 wire controlled, am I right?

The alternator bracket is the same one, from what I can tell, as this 2005 3400 I found in the gallery:

2 wire still I'd say. 3 bolts for the A/C just like 3x00, but the bottom is in a different spot (moved over a bit) so older A/C doesn't bolt up. Still uses the short aluminum spacer too.

There is a spacer that fits between the block mount pad and the A/C compressor also. I was not able to track one down for my mock setup but washers at the right thickness should work just as well. Never mind someone has already stated that.
