  • Knock Sensor location on a 3100/3400

    On a 95 3100 and on a 02 3400?

Mainly on a 02 3400, where is it located at?

Front (radiator side) of engine. Near oil filter.
Lifting my front wheels, one jack at a time.

If it has the dual knock sensors, there will also be one on the rear of the engine. Especially on the 1995 engine.

That is on my 3.4 DOHC, but the 3100 is the same.

The 02 3400 only used 1 knock sensor.

I can never remember. I know I only used one knock sensor on my 3100, but the 1996 3100 in my Grand Prix has 2 of them.

You totally sure about that 96 3100 having 2?

I've had 2 96 3100's, both of them only had 1 in the front. One sedan, one coupe. The other thing in the front is the oil pressure sensor...
