    sounds like it's spinning half a bearing.

    pretty weird.. lol

        that's the weirdest noise(s) i've ever heard. Sounds kinda unhealthy.... Wish i knew more about quads, i think they're cool motors but i dont know crap about them....

              I have no idea, but over at BerettaStuff.com forum is where this is posted: here.

              Last time I checked, the dude who owns it has not taken it to the mechanic yet.

              I'm not familar with Quad-Fours, but it resembles a chain noise to me...but why noise goes away...I don't know.

                Couldn't be a broken balance shaft, Q4's/ twin cams didn't get balance shafts until 95.....

                    I'd say it's a spun bearing. I'd guess cylinder #3 since that one seems to be quite popular with the Quad's
