Does anyone have an exploded view of the 3400? Kinda like the background.

I have lots of views of the 3400... I don't think any one diagram has all parts of the engine though, tell me what in particular are you looking for, and I'll scan it.

I really need the bottom end and timing side, but all the main diagrams would be sweet.

Jon, does that book of yours mention anything about why they went to the structured oil pan and side bolts? I know they talked about it for noise control but I want to know if they mentioned anything about extra strength. Would be cool if you had a shot of the bottom of the engine with the windage tray.

There's no explanations of anything in this book, it's basically a reference manual for assembling the engines... nothing more. It's a bit cryptic in the torque specs tho, it doesn't show it in understandable terms. It'll say something like "D50 +/- 10Nm". What the heck is D50? I assume it's a torque spec anyway, since it says +/- 10Nm.

I'll probably bring the book to 60v6 for you guys to look at if ya want.

So....the front bearing is bolted on? The 2.8 in my 89 is one piece but I also have two blocks with a bolt on front and solid rear. WTF?
