  • 3100 turbo needs help

I just rebuild my 90 Turbo GP with a 3100 topend and 30lb injectors. Im using a 90 degree exhaust piece for a charge pipe but the one end is to big for the rubber coupler from my intercooler. I have it rigged right now so the coupler is mocked up and stuffed in there but i cant run that much boost without it poppin out... my chip blacks out my plugs without boost because its not datalogged yet and burns RICH. I was using a coupler from pep boys and it melted in half so im kinda pissed i cant even run this car. Also when i did have it running boost, it smoked the tires for 20 feet and i think blew the intake gasket somwhere becasue its idleing mad high and all the vac lines are good... If anyones got any tips or ideas that woould be appreciated. Any comments welcome , even if you dont like grand prixs, thats ok.

If you are staying with the stock tune, you should put the stock injectors back in and use a rising rate FPR (FMU). I had 24# injectors with my turbo, and had to turn down the FP to get it to idle (no boost, stock tune). I don't know how you are using 30#ers?

I have an 8:1 Paxton RRFPR, I'll sell for $125 shipped to conn US.

P.S. What size coupler do you need?

As just said, if your running a stock tune with those injectors... that is def why it's so rich!
