  • 3400 5-speed

is there any gm car with a 3400 engine
that comes standard with a 5-speed gearbox or are they all
    automatics ??

I am asking this cause I'm looking for an ecm for a 3400 5speed

All Automatics. There are only 4CYl cars with 5 speeds.

Just use the ECM that the 3.1mpfi L/J bodies use. Then burn a chip for the 3400 fuel and spark requirements. The www.v6z24.com guys do all the time. There is a few on there that burn chips for swaps that use the 3400 injectors and FPR.

There are 3.1L 5 speeds from the first half of the 90's. Lots of them in fact. But when the 3100 came out that was the end of the 5 speeds in North America.

            okay..that's what I already thought.
it looks it's gonna be MS or a ecm from a 3.1 mpfi with custom chip.

Yep that would be the way to go. OBDI with the different ECM, or if you want stand alone megasquirt is nice. You don't want to use a 3400 ECM since you'd have to re-wire everything to OBDII custom harness and then get a tuner. It's cheaper/easier to keep the OBDI or just splice in the MS.
