glasspacks are insanely restrictive, you'd be better off putting a cat on it.. lol

They have a louvered core and yes, they get very small on the inside. Try a Magnapack from Magnaflow. I suggest a 4" round by 18" long in whatever size inlet/outlet you need. If that doesn't fix the rasp then you may need a cat as well.

they flow less than 200 CFM whereas an aerochamber flows like 441 CFM...

Most of the cheap glasspacks are bad for flow. I have a cheap cherrybomb one right hear that's ment for 2.5" pipe but it tapers down to a 1.9" diameter internally.

I have dual aerochambers, but in 2" pipes (after the Y split) with a basic aftermarket resonator, and a hi flow cat. I get no rasp at all, although idle is a tad too loud.

Humm now to figure out, is it the highflow cat or the resonator taking away most of the rasp...

I rather not put in a cat if I don't have to. What kind of resonator do you have?

I really need to get a vid for you guys... school and work makes me busy!

How much will a (small?) exhaust leak change sound? I think the weld where the pipe splits is leaking on the bottom, since last time I looked when I started the car up it spit out moisture from the bottom that area.

It's very hard to make out the sound in that video... but mine sounds different.

You have a DOHC and I have a cammed pushrod, so our sounds are going to be a good bit different.

Maybe... but that is also the most expensive method. Makes me mad that I went to the trouble of going to a place that would do no cat illegally for me, for it to now work against me.

I was looking around at cheaper methods, what about a dynomax bullet muffler? Looks good but I fear it won't do enough...

I have a Magnaflow universal muffler on my Camaro with a Magnaflow highflow cat and that helped out alot with rasp. It's a stock 2.8 but you really don't notice the rasp till ~4200 RPM. I don't have a vid but I could make a quick one tommorrow.

Well in my efforts to stay catless (since I figured out I would have to move my wideband if I wanted to put a cat in)... I found this

Vibrant Performance is the Source for Professional Fabrication Components with a vast offering of exhaust, fluid delivery, tubing, and silicone parts for custom or modified forced induction applications.

Anyone ever heard of vibrant performance? It's not the cheapest resonator but it is the biggest.

a hi-flow cat is like $50.. MUCH cheaper than that resonator.. LOL

o2 bungs are about $5-$10 on Summit IIRC
