I just got my Aerochamber. There is definitely roving behind the mesh screen. From what I can see it looks white and non-metallic so it's probably fiberglass. You can see straight through the muffler which leads me to believe that it'll be louder than my old flowmaster delta 40. Good thing I'm using a resonator in my new set-up.

It should be about the same as that Delta 40.. just better sounding.
I loved mine, it's been migrated to my truck now and it also sounds freakin mean behind my 5.3.

I finally got around to putting exhaust tips on my car, and believe it or not, it actually got quieter! And sounds better too! ( as compared to just the muffler as the end of the exhaust system with no tip or anythign behind it )sigpic

yeah, i had the same thing. What kind of tips did you use?
I got a pair of 3"x18" Boom Tube tips, snatched them for 10 bucks off a truck at the J/Y, they really, REALLY cleaned up the sound, didn't get much quieter, but it definately sounds 100% better.....

Yup I've said before, when you have no tail pipe after the muffler you will have louder/different sound.sigpic New 2010 project (click image)
