        3 reasons

        going for the stock look
        kinda ugly
And, keep it simple stupid... I figure less adapters or funky hoses and vac lines and all that crap the better I am. I wanted this thing to go in and use every and all brackets as they were intended to be used and not have anything thats tweaked to fit.

Remember this is a daily driver so sometimes reliability comes into play.

I also didn't have the cash for the TB adapter, or the time to figure out how to get everything to go in easily. I have time now, So if I find a 3500 plenum, MAYBE I'll try it. I'm not convinced that its going to gain me all that much anyways. This upper is hogged out quite a bit too, so I'm sure it supports decent flow numbers.

3100 plenum boooooo! Hahah. Yeah get one and just slowly get it ready, then swap it over. It's not all that much work just run short rubber vac lines from the IAC/EVAP/whatever-it-is-hole to the steel trans line and FPR.

There's more to the 3500 plenum than just flow. More volume, and the way it distributes the air into the center. Plus shorter runners with an almost direct ram straight shot into the head from the LIM since it's not curving around in the UIM.

Only adapter you need is TB adapter and it has O-rings! woo!!

For some reason I don't like the look of the 3400 UIM... Seems to stand out too much. Too fat & stubby runners maybe? hehe

Do you have my web server blocked or something??

They are stored at www.barnett73.com in my beretta folder, so if you can view that website you should be able to see the pics.

Nevermind, I think my server is having issues... my website wont come up.

So when's this going on? Those letters look shiny enough. I think a rough brushed look is good enough vs chrome look. Easier to read less glare! lol

I want to know your impression on how the 65mm TB feels while driving normal and WOT.

Well it was a UIM, and a TB teardown and build... I did it in about 45 min including running inside then back out a few times, I was doing laundry at the same time.

                        But its on.

Yes the rest of the bay BADLY needs a bath... including a new coat of paint on the strut bar.

The MAF looks like it's about to touch the positive terminal!

Those headers look dirty, is that rust where the paint came off?

I guess that vacuum T from the trans vac line is going to the N2O system? Why didn't you run that from the port by the alternator?

I spy another horn, what's your setup on the horn system?

How does the setup feel? Is the throttle more touchy? Does 75%-100% throttle feel the same now, or does it still make more pull the higher you go? Notice more power/top end?

seems like it changed lower end way more, top end still has a little bit more but you need a lot less throttle to get moving.

Maf is touching the battery, not the post... the pic is at a bad angle.

That horn you see is my car alarm.

The vac T is for my vac gauge in the car, not the nitrous system. Its not a progressive system, its run off of a WOT pedal switch and a kill switch.

The headers are really dirty, I painted them silver and most of the paint flaked off because I overcoated them with paint, I then had them out for the motor swap and Brendan painted them black... However he use 500* paint, that burnt off in a jiffy, and left those dark spots, Its not rust. More like liver spots lol I will fix that soon though, I'm going to do another THIN coat of 1500* silver.
