  • Flywheels ?

This goes with the starter Question (previous post)
I need to know if there is a internaly ballanced flywheel that fits a 1992 fwd2.8efi engine with the starter on the opposite side of the oil filter.
I modified the block to fit the starter on the opposite side of the oil filter and
used a older S10 flex plate with the ballance weight removed and a TH180 auto, this was working good !
I'm planing to change to a T5 trans

FWD flywheels seem to be to small in dia.

there never was a fwd with the starter on the odd bank (1-3-5), nor was there a fwd 2.8 in 92 (ir was a 3.1l then).

if you have an s10 flexplate, you have the larger rwd flexplate. rwd stuff was larger than fwd. you should be able to grab a flywheel from a rwd 2.8/3.1/3.4l 88+ (so ita neurtral balanced)
