Hey guys, I'm having a major problem with my Firebird.. It's got 198000 Kms on it, I've done all the normal maitenence, Oil changes every 3000k, new coolant, cleaned every electrical connection, spark plugs, wires, airfilter, all that fun stuff. But this has stumped many people, here's how it started;
I was driving on a 95 degree day, car was 105 celcius, running fine, but all of a sudden, my oil pressure started dancing, about 150 KPA, and it didn't wanna go, it started chugging, and wanted to die over 2100 RPM, which leaves me hardly any power to shift. I put 20$ of 91 Octane in, incase it was bad gas, and left again, but still, the same problem. I had recently changed my fuel filter, aswell, and an 80$ fuel line from the tank to the fuel filter. It idles fine, no roughness or anything, which keeps me away from thinking it's timing.
15 people told me it was a plugged cat, so I cut it off, and still, the same problem keeps occuring. I'm ready to pull the motor and throw in a 3.4.. Any suggestions on what to check next?
