How much lift on the cam? Cause that little knick sure looks like a valve is hitting.

Far right exh. valve in the 2nd pic looks like it has a knick on the outside edge as well.

wierd, looks like the timing chain jumped or somthing
also looks very oily for 36k

did it just all the sudden go bad and you couldnt start it again?

Am I seeing things, or are all the exhaust valves bent?

I have knicks like thoes on my pistons. Happened when the pistons went up, and the valves went down.

I had to replace both heads, and reset the timing.

everything engine wise is stock other then LS6 valve springs..they may look oilly from the way i had them sitting and from removing them and since it hasnt ran in a month..i havent cleaned them since i installed the engine..all the exhaust valves may be bent..i know atleast 3 are noticeable..not to worried about the heads..i have new ones sitting here waiting already

car was running fine..left a light being easy and thats when it went..no power at all..ran but not willingly and sounded like shit for the few seconds i could get it to run..now i know why..lol..im gonna check the chain later this week and see what i find

As I replied on the bstuff board if you find that the chain jumped a tooth, my jaw will drop... I'm unsure on how something this tight could jump a tooth...

I'll share this with this crowd, but in my opinion I think he broke the cam timing tooth off...

Is that possible if the cam bolt isnt tight enough?

this is the tooth I mean. better known as a dowel/pin I guess...

I suspect that center guide to be broken allowing massive chain sloppage which could allow timing to jump a tooth or two.

if the chain stretched it's pretty easy to jump a tooth or 2.. It's possible that the crank key broke... seen that a few times.

If that pin broke off on the cam the car wouldn't run at all.. even at 100+ lbs of torque on the cam bolt the sprocket would still rotate pretty easy w/o the pin.

Scary stuff.. in for more carnage pics...
