Which wire do I need to tap into on a 2k3 Grand Am harness to pick up the RPM feed for an A/M tach? best I can find scouring schematics is pin E (ppl/wht) on the ICM plug that goes to the PCM?

Here's a new thing... I swear if its not one problem, its another.
Tach goes up to 3440-ish, then 0's out, both under light and heavy throttle. I verified that it works fine by hooking the tach wire to my Cav. Is there another wire I can use or even an adapter that works w/ the 3400

Should be able to just use the wire off the ICM. Thats what's used for normal aftermarket tachs... If that is giving you problems, then maybe the gauge is bad? That is the true fire place to get tach signal. That's what feeds my dash gauges and my cruise control. Nothing from the computer just straight from the ICM.sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

Well, ordered the MSD DIS tach interface, works like a charm
Guessing the problem was something to do with the SFI up to whatever RPM it switches...
