Last time I shipped a crank out, this is what the packaging looked like:

IMO, that is the only way to ship something like that and have it get there safetly. The top of the box also had a piece of wood on it, so only the sides weren't protected with wood. It cost $65 to ship it from Arkansas to Washington via FedEx. Well worth the little extra cost...

3500 is the same stroke and journal sizes? I'm looking for something to bolt in, not to mention you might be asking a pretty penny for it.

I have seen re-ground cranks for around $65 here local, but I really don't want oversized bearings...

I'm also going to stop at the UPs store and complain. In my hand will be an estimate for a new rotating assy along with the box...

Yeah, but is it worth it sice I will need more machining? If you gave me the rods as well that might be a way I would want to go. Why not have larger journals (too bad they aren't oiled first, lol).

I'm not sure that the 3500 crank will fit in a genI block, main journal size yes, that's not a problem, but the speculated issue ( and I won't b able to verify this for a few weeks at the earliest is that the oil pan rail will not be able to be clearance for the rod big end and still hold together.

Damn I have a 3.1L Crank but the last quote I got to ship it down south was $120. I use Canada Post to ship everything I send. It is way cheaper than Fed Ex and UPS they always deliver faster than they estimate and nothing has ever been lost or damaged. I even sent some of my Moms ceramic collectibles to Australia with them and it took 3 days and arrived in perfect condition.

From Ontario to FL is just over $90 via UPS, haven't checked the others yet.

I feel like an asshole complainging about UPS. I went to grab tha box this morning and noticed it was sent via USPS Parcel and the label is stamped clearly with "received damaged condition" in red ink...
