    Which 3500?

    I was talking to a friend of mine today and to show him something I hopped online and to my amazement, I found 4 3500's near me for $550 each.

    I can't really understand why these are so cheap, I may call tomorrow on them to see if they even run, but out of these 4 which would be the best grab if I wanted to cam it and put it in a 96 GP? Am I even looking at the correct engine here?

    id go for the lowest mileage one.
    i got my 05 3400 for $700 and it only had 300 miles on it.
    why they sell em so cheap is beyond me.

      So is there any difference between the VIN Z and VIN 8?

      They didn't do VVT till 06 right?

        they started the vvt in 06
        but the engines from the two cars are the same according to wikipedia.
        according to that the vvt engine only came in the monte carlo and impala in 06
