got my clutch today and it looks okay.
it fits the getrag just fine.

only thing I noticed was that the disc is a fair bit smaller than the pressureplate surface..hmm strange.

it seems unlogicall to not use the full area.

was yours like this too ?

      yeah,

      thats the one.
did you notice too that the diameter of the disc is about 3/4 of an ich smaller than the pressure plate friction area ?

I'm not saying it's no good but it seems odd to me.

hmm, that's odd.. iirc it was the same size as the stock one.

NVG's are internal slave, HM282's are external. Plus the owner of the engine in that pic is Moonwell, it's in a 94 cavalier Z24..

That trans was scattered across I-80 a few weeks ago. He has yet to pull it but there was VSS parts outside the trans and fluid everywhere.

It looks a little different now...

the motor looks great!!! and i knew the nvg were internal because that is what i have, but i've never seen a 282, so i don't know what the external looks like..........me though, i have been fighting ordering custom axles trying to find stock axles that will work in my alero, the built tranny is swapped in and the motor fires right up, but without the axles, i'm still stuck with pushing it.......damn........
