  • My update

here are some pics of the springs and seats and seals and locks and retainers. the springs are the LS6 springs, seals are Fel Pro SS 70816, seats are comp LS seats 4075-12, lock are comp 7* hardened steel 623-16, titanium retainers are comp LS series 788-12. im getting newer heads to put all these things on so i can check the valves and deck and make sure they are ok. ill also get them sonic checked and planed also, the lightest amount possible. i may also look into new valves if i need them.

on the valves would anyone recommend the ferra ones or the 3500 or should i just stick with stock...or maybe the 3800 valves, im not sure. im getting a custom cam off the store soon, so i wanna make good use of it.

We use Ferra valves in the race car, and the Hollow ones after about 6 races, (with #140 seat pressure) Will start to pull and possibly snap off the head... remember the cam in the car is a stock lift with 230 234 duration.. so its rather wild...

I think the hollow ones would hold up find for our application even with the LS6 springs... Just as long as your cam lobe isnt a crazy hill.

im not going radical by any means, prob the 1393 or 1211 or 1312 at the most, though im not sure the springs can handle the 1393 lift...i have to check on that one

ok so here is the update, got the heads done, put the springs on, have the cam ground and put in, i have the injectors blueprinted from witchunter, i also have the ported UIM and LIM, and the TCE 65mm TB, new timing set, new sensors all around, new roller hyd lifters, low mileage rockers, felpro regular head gaskets, a CAI, and umm i guess thats all and tuning via DHP PT and a wideband. i have a QTP elec cutout that i modified to my own liking, and itll go after my coated SS headers and downpipe, prob right at the first bend below the pass seat. itll be wired into my power up down motor switch with all factory connectors and its fused, so no splicing or nasty radio shack switches or connectors. itll appear stock and no one will know unless they get under the car and look good. i have a ton more that i have done on tranny work, but i will touch on the 3 biggest ones, 3.91 gearing, LSD, and a high stall converter. its all going together here in the next week or so, im finishing up the trans right now
