  • Can I Convert a FI Engine to Carb?

Hey all, I have a question about converting an engine. I can pick up a RWD 2.8L engine out of an 89 Camaro, for my MGB conversion project, for a good price, but it is fule injected and I just want to run a carb.

Is it possible to bolt on an old manifold and run a carb on this engine, or do I need to keep looking for another engine?

If anyone knows, I would really appreciate it if somone could let me know if this is possible or not.

    Thanks!

Since its a 2.8 from a Camaro, then it has the iron heads, and therefore has a carb manifold available. And you the iron head engines can be converted to a carb, but none of the aluminum head engines can.

Edelbrock has the intake and a carb that will work.
