3100s were introduced in almost all cars in 94, so a 95 GP should have one. Yes, it will be OBD2, and no, no easy way to pull codes. GM removed the option to pull codes without a scanner when they went to OBD1.5, and have been that way since...
I thought 96 was just the deadline for all cars to be obd II and some got it a few years earlier. I've used the GM obd II scanner for my 94 2.0 with a connector adapter. Maybe thats the obd 1.5 bszopi was talking about.
obd 1.5 but if you ever need codes read for a obd 2 go to autozone theyll do it for free
Went to advance, and they pulled out their scanner, but it wouldn't fit the OBDI connector.
So I have a couple questions about that.........
"OBD 1.5" is an OBDII computer with an OBDI connector, correct? Are the codes pulled going to be OBDI style - like "code 32- EGR" or OBDII style - like "Code P0234 misfire cylinder 2"??
Second, I already have an ALDL interface. The nearest autozone is 6 miles away. Is there any software I can use to scan the codes myself?
